Unsung Stories:
A Selection of Asian America's Understudied Histories
Unsung Stories is a handbook on under-studied Asian American histories for high schoolers that spans geographies, ethnic groups, cultures, and topics. Five unique chapters cover stories including the Punjabi Mexican communities of California and Joe Ishikawa, who desegregated a swimming pool in Lincoln, Nebraska alongside local Black community organizations. Additionally, the handbook includes three Q&As with historians Dr. William Deverell, Dr. Thomas Conlan, and Dr. Sarah Keyes. Unsung Stories was authored by high school student Logan Liu, a current senior at Phillips Exeter Academy.
